Expanding the US business

diconium opens its second location in the USA with Boris Wolter as managing director

Stuttgart, March 15, 2024

diconium, the partner for digital growth along the entire value chain, has appointed Boris Wolter (47) to its international Management Committee. As new managing director, Boris Wolter together with Roland Oberdorfer will form the new dual leadership team for the USA, in which he will actively support the expansion and scaling of the US business in particular as an experienced digital expert. Additionally, Wolter will also take over the management of the newly opened diconium location in Reston, Virginia. This is the second office in the USA after San José in the Californian Bay Area. As part of its internationalization strategy, diconium is thus placing an additional, increased focus on expanding global customer relationships, including with Volkswagen USA and all associated Group brands. At the same time, long-standing existing customers such as STIHL, Kodak, Bosch, Zeiss, Sick, and others will receive support in their IT and project activities in the US market, while diconium will also focus on acquiring new customers, projects, and partnerships.

“With Boris Wolter, we are strengthening our international management committee with an experienced diconium executive who has carried our agency DNA for many years,” says Anja Hendel, managing director of the diconium Group. “In his new role as managing director, he will act as a link between the German organizations and our US colleagues around Roland Oberdorfer and will use his expertise to further strengthen new client business in the important US market with diconium's own approach of creating value from software, data and AI.”

“STIHL Inc. is pleased that diconium is continuing its investments into the U.S. market. For more than five years, STIHL and diconium have enjoyed a successful relationship that we believe will be strengthened with the expansion of their business in the U.S.,” stated Joe Quartararo, STIHL Inc. Senior Manager ECommerce and IT Branch Systems.

Boris Wolter has been with diconium since 2017. During this time, he has held various management positions and gained extensive management experience. He worked insales at diconium digital solutions and as part of the management team at diconium data, where he was significantly involved in the development and expansion of an international organization with over 200 employees at 6 locations throughout Europe. Before joining diconium, the law graduate held various management positions at companies such as Carracta, PayPal, Landau Media and IQPC.
