Task

 

A leading international bus manufacturer comissioned diconium with building a digital platform - their vision: a central customer portal for bus customers with bundled commerce activities, all based on a headless commerce solution.The client wanted implementation of a shop and services to serve as a contact point for all concerns and spare part provision.

The Challenge

 

We aimed to create a central platform for end consumers that seamlessly integrates commerce functionality. The focus was on developing a user-friendly product search tailored to customer vehicles, along with intuitive detail pages and an efficient ordering process.

This involved depicting a complex, multi-level sales model that incorporates both internal and external service partners. Additionally, we needed to link SAP for accurate pricing and order transfer, ensuring a smooth workflow.

To enhance user experience, we implemented a comprehensive, configurable availability check that connects to multiple external systems. Finally, the creation of a PIM system was essential for maintaining and enriching product data.

Our Solution

diconium built a platform for B2B, after sales, and services based on commercetools. Thanks to our solution, it's now possible to personally access replacement parts and services for bus fleets.
An intellegent customer guidance simplifies product searches and enables availability checks and direct orders. With the service function, it's even possible to administrate and manage a bus fleet via digital services.

Successes

We delivered a centralized and personalized user interface that streamlines access to all relevant services. This transformation led to increased revenue and a successful shift to the online platform.

Customers now enjoy a seamless journey, allowing for quick access to replacement parts and services. We implemented simple sign-on access for all functions, enhancing user convenience.

The rollout was swift, achieving high user acceptance. Additionally, we facilitated direct connections for large customers through standardized interfaces. Our comprehensive promotion functions offer targeted customization tailored for local markets.
