Bechtle
BRAND PLATFORM WITH INTEGRATED SHOP
Our story
01
The Challenge
In 2016, Bechtle had a heterogeneous commerce landscape characterized by stores of different sizes and functionalities. To offer customers a unified solution, Bechtle partnered with diconium for support in conceptualization and implementation. Together, we pursued as partners the goal of designing and implementing a central brand platform with an integrated store and a new omnichannel and product content management system. The main task was to seamlessly migrate existing customers to the new system and integrate new customers directly at the same time. Bechtle and diconium successfully completed the migration in 2021. Since then, we have been working together on the next challenge of adapting the central brand platform to the rapid changes in the market.
02
Our Solution
The architectural basis consists of a microservice architecture where diconium has integrated an SAP commerce store. A flexible system of switchable functions allows Bechtle to serve its diverse customers from all industries and public administration with varying degrees of automation. This provides added value by offering small customers a straightforward shop experience, while large customers have access to extensive management functions and ordering capabilities.
Bechtle pursues a mobile-first strategy to meet constantly changing customer needs.
03
Successes
Through the bechtle.com website, the company has established a robust e-commerce platform, facilitating the swift integration of additional company units. Bechtle positions itself as the IT partner of the future for its customers, with its ultimate goal being their sustainable success. To ensure this, Bechtle relies on flexible solutions and innovative technologies.
We have enjoyed a close partnership with diconium for many years. Our collaboration is characterized by regular exchanges and the joint development of creative ideas and solutions. This basis allows us to respond flexibly to the individual needs of our customers in the future and always offer them the best service.
