Why Lisbon?

Since the turn of the millennium, the Portuguese capital has developed into a hot spot for young entrepreneurs. Numerous start-ups have been set up on the Iberian Peninsula, which also deal with the digital transformation. In 2016, the industry responded to the growing digital scene with the shift of one of the world's largest Internet conferences from Dublin to Lisbon: The annual Web Summit underlines Lisbon's ambitions to become one of Europe's largest marketplaces for technology.

Just the right environment for the opening of our next office. Andreas Schwend, one of our two founders, puts it in a nutshell:

"The overall conditions in Lisbon are optimal for our agile digital company: Here we encounter a very progressive and ambitious corporate culture that wants to drive forward the process of digital transformation. We see great potential in the new business segment and look forward to discussions with the start-up scene. On the other hand, we are adapting to the course of our own growth and offering additional local contacts to our existing international customers ".

Markus Böhm, Managing Director at diconium digital solutions, sees the opportunity to win international talent for the company in Lisbon:

"Lisbon is a meeting place for young creative people with a deep understanding of digital issues. Under the influence of new cultural impulses and working methods, we naturally expand our corporate horizons. In the long term, we want to retain top talent with an attractive workplace. On the Iberian peninsula, our employees can develop in an optimal manner both professionally and personally. This balance is very important to us and we look forward to building a great team in the city at Tagus."
